Data Powered Futures Series launches with: The Future of Economic Wellbeing

31 Mar 2025

Join us for The Future of Economic Wellbeing, the first event in our new Data Powered Futures series. This series aims to explore data's transformative potential in shaping a more equitable and prosperous future.

At this inaugural event, we’ll explore how financial data can inform smarter decision-making, drive economic growth, and tackle challenges like poverty and inequality. Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers, we’ll discuss how data can unlock real-time insights into economic resilience and introduce the Economic Wellbeing Explorer, our new tool designed to help better understand economic wellbeing.

We are thrilled to welcome a diverse group of speakers, including:

  • Dr Tom Wilkinson, Chief Data Officer, Scottish Government
  • Will Taggart, Product Manager, Sage
  • Albert King, Chief Data Officer, NHS Scotland
  • Lukas Lehner, Lecturer, The University of Edinburgh
  • Rui Cardoso, Head of Public Sector Engagement, Smart Data Foundry
  • Stacey Wilkinson, Head of Product, Smart Data Foundry

Attendees will gain valuable insights into how financial data can improve policymaking and explore innovative tools to improve economic resilience. This is also a great opportunity to connect with others passionate about using data to foster positive change.

We hope you’ll join us for this exciting series, and we look forward to exploring the future of data-powered economic wellbeing together.
